EpicorEpicor Software has made a series of product introductions or announcements during this week’s Insights conference in Nashville, Tenn. This includes a mobile version of Epicor Payment Exchange which supports any smartphone and Apple iOS devices. Free and downloadable,  EPX Mobile can be used with a specially encrypted card reader so that credit cards can be swiped on the smartphone.

Customers can sign via finger or optional stylus and the receipt is emailed to the customer. There is also a new version of Epicor Eagle, which serves a variety of small to medium-sized businesses. Eagle is a financial package for businesses such as hardware and home centers, lumber and building materials, lawn and garden, sporting goods, automotive aftermarket, farm-home, and pharmacy. To be available during this quarter are Eagle Loyalty, for attracting retaining and managing customers, and Eagle Tablet POS. The latter introduces Signature Capture, used when a customer signature is required when a specified item is added at POS. There are also Special Order Alerts which warn staff when an item has not been received.
