QBES GETS ADVANCED REPORTING Featured

Catherine Fisse, IntuitIntuit has improved reporting for QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions with its Advanced Reporting Tool. The new capabilities are part of QBES 15, already available to ProAdvisors, and which will be in the hands of small businesses next week. QuickBooks had more than 100 default reports. “But they are kind of painful for Enterprise customers,” says senior product manager Catherine Fisse. Advanced Reporting is available for free for users with active service plans for Release 6 or later.

The new module, she continues has reports that are “very different than reports inside QuickBooks.” The tool has an interactive interface that enables users to add data and construct reports. QBES users “want to use information that’s not necessarily inside QuickBooks,” she says. “Customization and flexibility are always key to enterprise users. ”There are capabilities that are necessary for QBES users, but not for those using the garden-variety QuickBooks. That includes the ability to disallow negative inventory quantities. Also, QBES can now be closed even if there are users with open transactions, making it possible for administrators to perform maintenance.
