AMAZON STARTS BLOCKCHAIN SERVICE Featured

Amazon Web Services has launched Amazon Managed Blockchain, described as making it easy to create and manage blockchain networks. It is immediately available in Northern Virginia and will expand to other regions during the next year.

Customers can set up blockchain networks spanning multiple AWS accounts quickly in the AWS Management Console. The Hyperledger Fabric is supported now with Ethereum support coming later this year. Users can add network members or configure member nodes that process transaction requests. Amazon said this eliminates the need of blockchain network members to provision hardware, install software, create and manage certificates for access control, and configure network settings. The Amazon entry configures software, security, and network settings. Amazon Managed Blockchain offers instances with different combinations of compute and memory capacity and lets users secure certificates for access control using AWS Key Management Service technology, instead of having customers tset up their own secure certificate storage.
