SAGE SUMMIT FOR $99 Featured

Sage Summit and an IntruderSage proclaimed that it had 15,000 people registered to physically attend its Summit conference this week in Chicago and another 15,000 signed up remotely. The question yet to be answered is how happy are exhibitors and right now, there's not enough input to reach any conclusion.

Sage promised 20,000, so even though 15,000 is really good for this kind of event, it still falls short of what was advertised. Because of last-minute promotions, the other question is how serious were the attendees who bit on bargain-basement prices? The conference website advertised prices of $199, $299 and $399 and by the time I looked at those, the first two were not available. Strangely, the $399 offer was and that's very curious since Sage was offering $399 on the website and $99 through media such as Bloomberg News. I'm sure somebody can logically explain this. What also happened, easier to discern, is a broad-based mess with registration. There were reports Sage stopped checking badges on a couple of events because it was so bad. You know, with web-based and mobile registration available in a lot of places, registration at conferences I have attended has become a much simpler process so this report is a bit unusual. Again, I'm sure someone can correct any misimpressions I have.
