NETSUITE LINKS WITH CYBERSOURCE

SaaS vendor NetSuite has completed product integration with Visa’s CyberSource subsidiary that the company said gives end users access to the CyberSource Decision Manager fraud management system. NetSuite users can send transaction details to Decision Manager by enabling a checkbox. A CyberSource report issued in January said fraudulent transactions represent about 1.2 percent of the dollar volume of online sales. I’m happy that NetSuite issued the CyberSource release because that way I don’t have to give prominence to another press release issued in the last few days for its downloadable Hairball Elimination Kit.

You may remember that NetSuite has dubbed companies that have tangled ERP systems as suffering from Software Hairball Syndrome. The kit is a diagnostic tool whose main purpose seems to be identifying Dynamics GP installation. The official NetSuite view is that GP “is commonly found at the heart of Software Hairball Syndrome, the inevitable result of acquiring and trying to maintain the integration of multiple, siloed business software applications.” The kit is supposed to identified data silos, wasteful and error-prone data entry redundant processes.
