EPICOR OFFERS DEDICATED TENANCY Featured

Himanshu Palsule, EpicorEpicor Software is offering what it calls dedicated tenancy for customers that wish more control over upgrades to the company's cloud software. Chief Technology Officer Himanshu Palsule said the technique would give the same cost benefits as from a multi-tenant systems.

But, he continued, it offers "some control and a 90-day window to do customizations and configurations". Palsule said the move was in response to customers who did not want to have their cloud software automatically updated. At Epicor's Insights conference this week, he noted that the 90-day window would enable customers to complete work in their sandboxes "and be ready for the next upgrade." A major reason customers want the delay is the ability to generate compliance reports in other countries. Another response to that request is the Global Compliance Engine via which Epicor will modify reports and return them to customers. "With some training, we will be making it available to customers," Palsule said. "In Phase 2, you will be able to do the same thing with the cloud—outside of the release cycle".
