CERTUSI LEAVES SAGE Featured

Connie Certusi, SageConnie Certusi, one of the last executive holdovers from Sage’s earlier days, has left the company. In a Facebook post, Certusi announced that July 14 was her last day at Sage after 21.5 years.

EVP and managing director, she had led the Sage small business segment since the days when Sage 50 (U.S.) was known as Peachtree. She joined Sage after an 11-year career with software companies, including Management Science America, which became part of Dun & Bradstreet software. In more recent years at Sage, her responsibilities broadened into the mid-market accounting products. Recounting history led me to Peachtree’s IPO offering in 1998, which was withdrawn in March 1999 after four months, and a long-forgotten fact that the company was a subsidiary of ADP at the time. The reason for the withdrawal was Sage’s acquisition of Peachtree for about $145 million
