INTUIT PICKS INCOMING CFO Featured

Michelle Clatterbuck, IntuitIntuit has named Michelle Clatterbuck to take over the role of CFO on February 1. She will take over with the retirement of Neil Williams, who has held the job since joining Intuit in January 2008.

Clatterbuck has served as SVP of finance for the company's Consumer Tax Group for the last year and is acting finance leader for Intuit's Small Business Group. Clatterbuck began her tenure at the software company in March 2003. CEO Brad Smith said Williams had decided to step away from full-time employment to pursue personal goals. The next question becomes how long Smith wants to be CEO—he moved into the job in January 2008, although the sound from webcast of someone whose competitive juices are still strong. Still when the company had EVPs Sasan Goodarzi and Dan Wernikoff swapping jobs with Wernikoff taking over the consumer tax group and Goodarzi said Wernikoff's position with the small business segment, it looked like a possible beginning to seeing who might become the next CEO.
