QAD HIKES LOPKERS' COMPENSATION Featured

Karl Lopker, QADManufacturing software company QAD handed out 55.4-percent increases in compensation in fiscal 2018 for its two top executives. QAD CEO Karl Lopker and president and chairman Pam Lopker received identical pay in fiscal 2017 and 2018.

Both received $2.6 million for the year ended January 31, compared to $1.7 million the year before. The increases for both stemmed primarily from grants of stock appreciation rights. Each executive was awarded $1.8 million in SARs last year, an increase of 76.6 percent from slightly more than $1 million in fiscal 2017. CFO Daniel Lender was given $1.7 million in compensation last year, a 36.6-percent rise from $1.2 million the prior year. Anton Chilton, EVP of global services, received an 81.7-percent increase in compensation to $1.2 million in 2018, up from $643,288 in 2017. Corporate controller and chief accounting officer Kara Bellamy was paid $581,920 in total compensation, a rise of 1.9 percent from $489,890.
