SAP: WE'LL DOUBLE CRM BIZ Featured

Alex Atzenberger, SAPSAP, which has ambitions for leading the CRM market, will double its business in that segment within two years. The projection this week came in an interview with Alex Atzenberger, SAP's president, customer experience, with Reuters.

Atzenberger claims the software company will be able to accomplish that because functions such as sales and marketing, commerce, customer service and consumer data protection tools are being rolled into the new into its new C/4HANA suite. SAP’s public statements about its challenge to CRM market leader Salesforce.com began in April when CEO Bill McDermott said, “We want CRM. We want CRM”, during the webcast for the company’s release of earnings for the first quarter ended March 31. Atzenberger did not provide the revenue his company receives from the front office, which it has vowed to dominate.
