ORACLE GAVE THREE EXECS $103.7M OPTIONS Featured

Mark Hurd, OracleOracle granted three of its named executives $103.7 million option awards each for the year ended May 31. The awards pushed each of the three to more than $108 million in compensation for fiscal 2018.

Option grants more than doubled the compensation for four of the executives over their 2017 totals. Chairman and chief technology officer Larry Ellison, who does not take a salary, had total compensation of $108.9 million. Co-CEOs Safra Catz and Mark Hurd also had the same size option awards, which brought both to $108.3 million each in pay for the most recently ended year. Thomas Kurian, president for product development, received $73.8 million for 2018, with an option award of $69.4 million representing most of that. EVP and chief corporate architect Edward Screven, who was not a named executive in 2017, had compensation of slightly less than $13 million, most of that from a stock award of $11.9 million. Screven did not receive any option awards and none of the other execs were given stock awards.
