TECTURA SELLS GERMAN UNIT

Tectura, which seems to be reshaping itself, has sold its 51-percent interest in Tectura Berlin to Uwe Bergmann. Tectura Berlin also owns a majority of Tectura Dresden and the operations are expected to adopt new names by the end of May. Terms were not released. This follows on the departure of founder and former CEO Terry Petrzelka early this year. His position was filled by Duane Bell, previously CFO.

A call to Bell for comments has not been returned. However, with speculation that Petrzelka was forced out by venture capitalists, you have to wonder if there is going to be any other winding down of this company. As part of the stock transfer, the companies have entered an agreement to share technologies they own and to collaborate on certain client engagements. This will provide ammunition to those who doubt that rolling up a number of reselling companies to produce one large VAR is a successful strategy.
