DYNAMICS 4Q REVS UP 12 PERCENT Featured

Microsoft Dynamics revenue increased by 12 percent over a year earlier for the fourth quarter ended June 30. The total—with no actual revenue figures given—was 15-percent higher in constant currency than last year’s corresponding period.

The category is given as  Dynamics products and cloud services revenue. As usual, growth came from Dynamics 365 with revenue for the most recently ended quarter up 45 percent, 48 percent in constant currency. During the recent earnings webcast, one analyst said that the online business is now higher than the on-premises business with what he called Dynamics Online “kind of at $2 billion.” He asked CEO Satya Nadella for the drivers and Nadella’s answer had all the clarity and specificity of most professional sports interviews. Dynamics fits in the Productivity and Business Process segment which reported revenue of $11.05 billion for the fourth quarter, a 14-percent increase from $9.67 billion a year ago—the difference for the quarter of $1.38 billion compares to $1.77 billion for Sage for its entire operaions for six months.
