Sage made the announcement following media speculation about its plans for Sage Pay. In a prepared statement, the compan confirmed it “is evaluating potential strategic options for this business, including a sale.” If accomplished, this would mark a complete retreat for Sage from the payments business, which is a very small part of its operations.
