SAGE ACQUIRES CAKEHR Featured

Sage has purchased CakeHR, which is based in the United Kingdom. The company said recently the application is a native cloud application for building out the Sage Business Cloud.

Terms were not disclosed. CakeHR’s has open APIs which Sage said will enable integration into applications on the Sage marketplace, along with Sage’s payroll packages. Sage will continue selling CakeHR to its customers and offer it to existing Sage customers in the U.K. next year. Sage said the acquired company has 27,000 users and that its product’s capabilities include leave management, automation of hiring and termination processes, management of expense approvals and payroll.  Besides having an office in the U.K., CakeHR has offices in Riga, Latvia, and Tallinn, Estonia. Pricing is based on the modules selected and number of users and can be billed monthly or yearly. Selection of all six modules with one user is a priced at $112.20 per month
