Priority has dropped what was described as a multi-year project to develop a Catalina-compliant version. Options for users include not upgrading to Catalina, with the company having released a 2020 version for the older Mac operating systems; moving to AccountEdge Hosted, which will support any Windows or Mac environment including Catalina; running Catalina and using AccountEdge for Mac within a Parallels virtual machine environment; moving to AccountEdge for Windows. The company will covert Mac licenses to Windows at no charge. Priority also promoted PriorityZoom, ERP cloud software for up to five users and Priority ERP, available in the cloud or on-premise, both priced at $50 per user per month for users who have outgrown AccountEdge.

Priority Software will not release a Mac version of its AccountEdge software for the Apple Catalina operating system. The company said on its website the product’s 30-year-old codebase “proved too outdated to establish compatibility with Apple’s newest operating system.”
