The last newsletter reported by that Blytheco, one of Sage’s largest resellers, has been conducting a survey about social media usage. CEO Steve Blythe says one goal is to educate clients about the value of the new media. “We are surprised at the low adoption rate of social media by our customers,” says Blythe.
The goal is to encourage clients to not only communicate with the VAR via social media but also to reach their own customers the same way. Blytheco is working to create benefits so that customers will be more prone to utilizing these services, particularly as email is becoming less effective as more messages are blocked. The reason clients don’t use social media? “The average business is trying to figure out how that all works,” he notes.
