SAGE ENDING SIMPLY VARS
Sage has concluded that sales through its Simply Accounting Solution Providers are not enough to justify the program's continuation. It is being dropped effective October 1. However, members will continue to get the same product discounts until Sept. 30, 2012. No new VARs will be authorized.
The information was spelled out in a letter from Jennifer Warawa, VP of partner programs and channel sales for Sage North America. All Simply resellers "will be a aligned with a representative from our New Product Sales team in Richmond, B.C.," according to Warawa. Sage concluded that its resources would be best spent enhancing program benefits for its Sage Accountants Network members and certified consultants.
