SAGE ONE GOES TO BETA IN U.S.

Mike Savory, SageSage One, the company's online product for very small businesses, has gone into a limited beta test in the United States. (And remind me to read stuff on my own LinkedIn group more carefully since this was posted there in mid January.) The information was posted by product manager Mike Savory.

Savory, manager of product management, has been with Sage since July 1993. He describes the U.K. product, Sage One Accounts as offering cash management, customer invoicing, vendor bills, VAT return filing and basic reporting and a recently launched payroll product. "What we’re developing will be very similar in its accounting functionality," Savory wrote. "...we have plans to quickly evolve Sage One beyond what you currently see in the UK." He described Sage One as fitted to the SOHO market, including solo business people and startups. (And I even had to approve this post going online. Talk about asleep at the wheel. Oh yeah, it was posted about the time I had a car accident. And I wasn't asleep at the wheel. But that's another story.)
