SAGE PUSHES SUBSCRIPTION PRICING

Joe Langner, Sage North AmericaSage North America is rolling out a subscription pricing program that has lots of goodies for users shelling out for the most expensive plan. That plan, effective in April, offers unlimited support for those willing to pay $110 per month per user for Sage 100. The price rises to $130 per month per user for Sage 300 and $160 for Sage 500.

Take off the unlimited support and Sage will knock off $10 per month per user for the Silver Plan. Sage's slides show that for the 100 and 300 products that over three years subscription pricing is 20 percent lower than perpetual license pricing for new customers. The Premium offer is an all-you-can-eat deal. "Subscription pricing as an option for customers who have purchased desktop software," notes Joe Langner, EVP of Sage's MidMarket and CRM Solutions group. Unlimited support covers telephone, knowledge base and Sage University, Sage's Gold Business Care plan, for those buying the Premium package.. Sage also offer customers who are off the support plan the chance to come back with no back penalties. Users can also pick the modules they want from the ERP line up with Sage tossing in Sage Fixed Assets, its depreciation product, and the Active Planner, financial reporting offering, into the available packages. For another $35 per month per user, customers can buy a CRM application while payroll is $50 per customer per month. There will be volume discounts although the pricing tiers have not been set.
