U.K. DYNAMICS VARS JOIN

Mark Thompson, M-HanceLast month's statement from Microsoft’s channel exec Doug Kennedy that the United Kingdom might be a place for a Master VAR drew a comment that there may be only one candidate. And that is M-Hance which formed last fall. The company sells Dynamics AX and GP. In November, the company was formed through the joining of seven reselling organizations: Calyx Software, Gyrosoft, Trinity Computer Services, and divisions of MentecPlus, Touchstone Group, Sys-Care, and Avant-Garde.

In February, the company acquired Maxima Business Solutions Division from Maxima Holdings. That unit markets vertical software, which was not well identified in the press release announcing that deal. The company said it had a staff of 150 in November and now has 230. It has offices in Manchester, London, Loughborough, Dublin and Glasgow. It also has locations in India and the United States, although its website does not say much about these. The site is also sparse in information about CEO Mark Thompson. In November, the publication Channel-Register said he was brought on board Calyx in September 2010 by chair Fiona Timothy as the two had previously worked together. The company had about $23.8 million in sales when the article was published in November.
