AVALARA LINKS TO QAD

avalara logo newAvalara has inked a deal that brings QAD into its wide-ranging list of software allies. In a typical arrangement, QAD is integrating Avalara's cloud-based, sales-and-use tax services into its enterprise application via the QAD AvaTax Connector. QAD serves manufacturing customers with about 60 percent of its revenue coming from outside the United States but this deal is aimed at business in North America.

In its last reported period, that company had $63.7 million in revenue for the first quarter ended April 30.  When I see these announcements, I always want to suggest Avalara keep a form on hand since the result is pretty much the same in all deals. "Avalara has announced an agreement with  [fill in the blank] to integrate its sales-and-use tax application with [the new party's application.] When a new deal is signed, the name could automatically populate the news story.
