VAR GOES HEAD ON WITH SAGE IN U.K.

Mhance logoM-hance, created via a consolidation of several British VARs, has launched its entry into the online accounting competition for SMEs in Sage's backyard. The new product, Financials to Go, is described as a hosted cloud solution that can be deployed in five days or less. Designed with Word and Outlook Templates, FTG has been built for "SMEs or for those wishing to leave their current accounting solution provider (Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite etc)", a press release states.

The product is designed for users in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. This is worth mulling over since this is Sage's home territory for its online entry in the low-cost financial software market, Sage One. It also suggests that the field could get more crowded in all countries because there is a relatively low entry cost in this market for publishers. For end users, the price is £275 per user per month (around $426), plus VAT and is available from two- to ten-user licenses. Mhance, which carries Dynamics AX, GP and CRM, was formed by the amalgamation of seven British resellers last fall. One of these, the Touchstone Group, was a member of the Interdyn consortium until that deal. This is a group with ambitions. It is already the U.K. representative of the Partner Power group and has a recruitment program that it describes as built to support rapid growth. It also made the Microsoft Inner Circle in its first year in existence. According to a spokesman "We do have a presence in the US but we are looking to increase this before we have the capabilities to roll-out FTG there with the same additional levels of service and support. We are, however, looking to roll out our new enterprise social networking solution, m-hance Social Business, in the US in the near future."
