UNIT4 MERGING NORTH AMERICAN OPS

Shelley Zapp, Unit4 Business SoftwareUnit4, which markets the Coda and Agresso lines, is merging its two North American business units. Unit4 Business Software and Unit4 Coda are being combined under the first name. The company expects the merger to provide customers with greater coverage and support, better global integration and additional product sets. This apparently puts operations on this continent in the same model via which the company operates in the rest of the world.
Shelley Zapp, of Victoria, B.C.-based UNIT4 Business Software, will be CEO of the combined operation while Steve Pugh, CEO of Manchester, N.H.-based Unit4 Coda, gets to hang around in an advisory capacity. His retirement is not one of pursuing other interests, but rather the company reported he is pursuing his passion for aviation, which sounds like a legit explanation. He spent 12 years as CEO of the Coda part of the business and has been working with Coda since 1990, before the formation of Unit4. The closest most of us get to pursuing aviation in the corporate world is when our employers tell us to take a flying ..., oh well.
