DYNAMICS NAV 2013 AVAILABLE

Paul White, MicrosoftIt was  hardly a secret and given how widely Microsoft tests products, the software has really been in the market. But officially, Dynamics NAV 2013 went on sale this week. The product launches with localized versions available in 15 countries and more on the way at dates to be determined. Those countries include the United States, of course.
The others are Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, the United States and international English. The blog post by Paul White, senior director of ERP product management, announcing the release was not long on specific product features. Those were left for product pages on the Microsoft website. But one interesting point was his praise of the product's openness. "We’ve also done a lot of work with Microsoft Dynamics NAV to give you the power of choice. Choice about which client, device or browser your people use to connect with the system – and choice about where and how you deploy it – whether that is on-premises or in the cloud," he wrote. I don't remember Microsoft being as laudatory on choice and have the feeling that SAP's loud and insistent promotion of openness has had an impact.
