INFOR CEO SPEAKS AT VAR'S CONFAB

Charles Phillips, InforNothing says that you are important more than having someone at the top of the organization give you some of their time. In 2011, shortly after the September 11 attack, Richard Harrington, then CEO of Thomson showed up at the Manhattan headquarters of the company's accounting publications and talked to our small group of journalists.
That makes an impression that sticks with you. And so does the fact that Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor, is scheduled to speak at the user conference of the Copley Consulting Group in Dedham, Mass., next month. Infor is a $2.5-billion or so company. Copley has annual revenue of $5 million. It's safe to say that Phillips' appearance at this event should resonate throughout the Infor channel. And it should resonate through channels of other companies whose members just might be asking if top execs from their vendors value them as much. Of course, another thing that makes an impression is when an executive who works on the same floor of a building can’t find his way to your end over a couple of years. It’s the same way with your children. Spending time with them says a lot more than you can ever tell them in words. Ignore them, and you tell them even more.
