UNIT4 SAAS REVS ACCELERATE

unit4 logoUnit4, which markets the Agresso and Coda lines, reported that its SaaS subscription rose by 24.7 percent to about $63.5 million for the year ended December 31. And they accelerated in the fourth quarter, registering a rise of 27 percent. That came as the drop in product revenue accelerated in the fourth quarter. For the year, product revenue, which I assume includes license revenue and maybe more, was $100.9 million, an increase of 1.5 percent over 2011.

But income from that category dropped by 15 percent for the last three months of 2012. Overall, EBITA rose by 3.2 percent to roughly $113.9 million, including results from FinancialForce. Revenue for the year just ended was $620.6 million, up 5.4 percent. The company said FinancialForce, which it co-owns with Salesforce, had $17 million run rate for cloud revenues. I assume the use of the dollar sign in the press release was intentional and that its results are denominated in dollars. All other figures were in euros. Unit4 said most of its sales and add-on sales are on-premise deals, but that the trend for customers to ask for cloud products is accelerating rapidly.
