EPICOR UPGRADES LUMBERTRACK
Epicor has issued what it calls a major upgrade to LumberTrack, formerly from Progressive Solutions. The application is designed for lumber and wood products manufacturers and wholesale distributors. New features include user-defined fields. The company said the software's data management features also more readily allow data to flow into other applications, such as the Epicor Dispatch and Delivery Management System.
LumberTrack also has a new flexible user interface, the FlexGard technology, which Epicor says enables users to clear screen clutter and customize information displayed according to job function. There is multilingual support, architected for any language, including those that require double-byte character sets, including Japanese, Korean and Chinese, Epicor says. Multiple windows enable users to work on multiple transactions simultaneously. Epicor is also adding a new Letter of Credit module. If Epicor ever had an ad campaign for this, it should contract for the old Monty Python song, "I'm a lumberjack and I'm Okay." Good rhyme for LumberTrack.
