BLACKBAUD CEO'S PAY TAKES BIG DIP

Marc Chardon, BlackbaudCompensation for lame-duck CEO Marc Chardon fell by 29.3 percent and it’s the second straight year of double-digit declines for the outgoing leader of Blackbaud. Chardon will leave the nonprofit vendor once a successor is named. In the meantime, the Charleston, S.C.-based company reported his 2012 pay fell to $2.2 million, down from $3.1 million in 2011. And it’s off by 52.2 percent from the $4.57 million he got in 2010.

However, Chardon’s 2010 pay was skewed by a $2.8-million option award and he did not receive any of those awards in the last two years. CFO Anthony Boor finished his first full year in his job and received $1.4 million for 2012, up from the $848,297 he got for starting in November 2011. Jana Eggers, SVP of products and marketing, had $1.37 million in pay last year, up 9.3 percent from $1.25 million. The president of the International Business Unit, Bradley J. Holman received $1.38 million, a 34-percent rise from the $1.03 million get got the prior year. Kevin W. Mooney, president of the General Markets Unit, saw his pay rise 13.3 percent to $1.44 million, up from $1.27 million.
