MBS: EXEC CHANGES COMING?

Michael Park, MicrosoftThe Dynamics channel is start to bubble with speculation that there are some serious executive changes likely at Microsoft Business Solutions. Since it feels like I rarely speak to the same people in executive interviews year-to-year at Convergence, I'm not sure if that's a new development. What seems more certain is that Michael Park, who was the MBS VP of worldwide sales marketing and operations from July 2009 through August 2012, has left to join HP, a company that can use an influx of talent.

ark has been corporate VP of Microsoft's server and tools division [and or for?] cloud OS marketing since. His LinkedIn page does not show any change in status, but I'm going with the fact that the people passing this information around tend to be in the know. And one of those adds the less-than-startling report that Parks left to pursue other interests. A Google search is not showing any stories about this change (maybe I should have used Bing), so we'll wait and see about official word The phrase two sources used was not that he is leaving, but that he has left. Given last week's discussion about Dynamics CRM moving to the Office billing platform, it would seem likely there would be executive changes. If there is a possibility CRM will move out of MBS,  then there are fewer chiefs needed in that organization. Besides, it’s a slow news period since with Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference kicking off in early July and Sage Summit opening late next month, it’s unlikely we’ll get serious product news out of them until the shows.
