DYNAMICS UP 13 PERCENT IN 2013 Featured

microsoft logo newMicrosoft says revenue from Dynamics rose by 13 percent for the year ended June 30. The company does not disclose revenue and it did not provide a separate percentage report for fourth-quarter sales. However a comparison with prior quarterly reports shows an acceleration of sales. For the nine months ended March 31, Dynamics revenue was up 11 percent over the prior year.

But the third-quarter total rose by 13 percent over last year’s corresponding period. And wouldn’t we all like to know how the performance of Dynamics CRM compares to the accounting packages? For the company, net income for the most recently ended year was $21.9 billion, a 2.9-percent increase from just under $17 billion for 2012. Revenue for 2013 was $77.85 billion, up 5.6 percent from $73.72 billion the prior year. The Dynamics business, which has been under Microsoft Business Solutions. falls within Microsoft Business Division, which exists only as a reporting entity. Revenue for MBD for last year was $24.72 billion, a rise of 2.5 percent from $24.11 billion a year ago and you have to think Dynamics is a small part of those results, that include Office revenue. We’re still trying to figure out if MBS still exists since in this month’s reorganization, MBS president Kirill Tatarinov was announced as head of Dynamics.
