INFOR SHOW SHUTS OUT PRESS Featured

Infor logoInfor has kicked off its annual partner summit in San Diego. But I'm sitting here in New Jersey writing about it. Because after an unexpected invitation to last year's show, this year's is a media blackout. (Not that I could have made it since we're heading for Alaska tomorrow.) In fact, Infor did not respond to questions about whether there was a show and official notification only arrived yesterday.

By contrast, SAP, which hasn't managed to get a reseller show together for a couple of years, at least not a partner conference,  has one next week. My sense is that Infor's program stalled out and there's little evidence that a number of Sage VAR prospects that were at last year's event have signed on. Certainly nobody is saying, "Have you seen what Infor is doing?" It might not have helped the cause when I reported last year that Infor's program was about where Sage and Microsoft's was 15 years ago. On the SAP side, hopefully, SAP gave its channel more notice than it gave me - about two months - since calendars do fill up. While SAP says it is ramping up its channel program, I think I and many resellers are in a "show me" mood about that company and its ability to sustain a program.
