BLUMENTHAL GOES FROM ISM TO RKL Featured

Stuart Blumenthal, ISMStuart Blumenthal, former VP at Sage reseller ISM, has taken a job with RKL eSolutions. The move stemmed from the decision of Phoenix, Ariz.-ISM to sell its Sage 500 practice to Lancaster, Pa.-based RKL. BJ O'Reilly, CEO of ISM, noted "We wanted to focus on Sage 100 practice and X3 and we are selling NetSuite as well." He added Sage has not been committed to Sage 500 for some time while RKL had the resources to work with the application because it has done a lot of development work with that product.

The general explanation is that Sage's commitment to X3 caused it to announce plans to sunset Sage 500. O'Reilly also said Blumenthal had been very active in developing that practice. "A lot of those clients he and I brought in together," Reilly noted. "It's all very amicable." Along with Blumenthal, three ISM consultants, Becky Keene, Donna Gallardo and Joshua Gettman, also moved to RKL as did 100 Sage 500 accounts. Blumenthal was with ISM from April 2005 through last Friday. RKL also said it had hired Dean Jones of Eide Bailly as a Sage 500 ERP programmer based in Utah, which further expanded its presence west of the Rockies. Jones came to Eide Bailly via its purchase of SGS Technologies last year.
