Kanye West, Kim KardashianThere was a lot of wind for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but fortunately not too much so the crowd was able to see the always-poplar balloons. The Kim Kardashian/Kanye West balloon still flew, but many members of the crowd had to be treated for acute disgust. Speaking of Kim and Kanye, if you've seen their recent video, there hasn't be such dangerous action recorded on a bike since "Easy Rider."

Kanye, however, apparently got his inspiration from the 60's classic, thinking the phrase was "Easy Ride Her". ... I didn't get much sleep this week. My memory foam mattress developed amnesia and kept resetting itself to my shape 10 years ago. ... I saw a movie whose credits included the following "No Chia Pets were harmed in the making of this movie.  By the way, there's a new line of "Duck Dynasty"  Chia Pets, proving that anyone who thought the items could get more pointless was seriously in error.  .... In this year's "Duck Dynasty, Home for Christmas", the Robertson clan tries out a new reindeer call which promises a higher kill rate during hunting season. Meanwhile, the family rejects the proposed slogan "Everyone needs to have a good duck now and then." ... The other day I was singing softly, "He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake" when the kid next to me said, "Oh you're singing about Santa." "No, the NSA." ... Noted an article that corporate America is increasingly backing Major League Soccer. Twenty years from now, old timers will be telling their soccer-hungry kids about baseball. "Yes, there used to be game in which nothing much happened for three or four hours and most of the players stood around watching. Amazingly, people used to watch it." "Like bowling?" "Yes, but with a lot less action."  ... In sad news, the turkey pardoned by President Obama was mistakenly killed. Unfortunately, the pardon order was published on the healthcare website and nobody read it.
