INFOR'S GOODFIELD MOVES TO RKL Featured

Walter Goodfield, RKL eSolutionsSage veteran Walter Goodfield has moved to RKL eSolutions after spending slightly more than two years in Infor’s channel program. Goodfield this month took a job as VP of sales and marketing at RKL eSolutions, a Lancaster, Pa.-based reseller that handles the Sage line, including Sage 100, 500 and X3. Goodfield was director, global partner recruiting and on boarding at Infor from February 2012 until he accepted the new position this month and earlier was director of field sales for Sage from May 2009 through June 2011.

RKL has been expanding its Sage practice. Late last year, it acquired the Sage 500 business from reseller ISM with that company’s VP Stuart Rosenthal joining RKL with a total of 500 customers and five consultants coming along. In February, RKL noted it was adding consultants who could support both Sage 500 and X3. I’m not sure if this move says anything about the Infor program although I’ve had a feeling that the Infor VAR effort has not been as solid as the company has said. That probably stems from the fact that two years ago, I was invited to a partner summit and saw several Sage VARs Infor had hoped might sign up for Syteline.  In the original story, I said I wasn't invited to the show in 2013. My apologies, I was and seem to have gotten confused with some other show. Must be age. Infor rightly points out that it said in February it had recruited 43 VARs in the United States out of 163 total that were recruited worldwide in 2013. However, it has not made great inroads with the cream of the Microsoft and Sage channels.
