EXACT HAPPY WITH AMERICAS RESULTS Featured

Erik van der Meijden, ExactFactor out some elements and the performance of Exact's Specialized Solutions, which includes five product lines, pleased the company for the first quarter ended March 31. On the surface, revenue was off by 4.3 percent, but the company noted that stemmed from the weakness in the U.S. dollar and also reflected a drop in revenue from Lohn which had some P&L numbers transferred to Exact's Business Solutions division.

Adjust for these factors and the company said revenue for Specialized Solutions rose by .5 percent on an operational basis. The division reported roughly $25 million in revenue. The unit also includes the operations of Macola, JobBoss, Max and Longview. The reaction from CEO Erik van der Meijden was this statement: "I am pleased with the progress realized by Specialized Solutions." America's revenue for the quarter was about $14.9 million and license sales in the hemisphere were about $2.6 million, obviously not a lot of new product sales. EBITDA for the region reached roughly $5.1 million, an increase of 21.5 percent and up 28.1 percent on an operational basis. Worldwide revenue was virtually unchanged at around $72.6 million, and up 1.8 percent operationally. I have not found a net result reported in the press release or company presentation PDF. Exact noted its pleasure with its cloud software results, primarily Exact Online. The product is still new in the U.S. where 26 companies are using the product and producing about $9,700 in revenue. That was termed slightly behind plan. Worldwide, the total is about $9.27 million, overwhelmingly from the Netherlands.
