OLD SERENIC BECOMES ONESOFT Featured

Randy Keith, former Serenic CEOThe corporation called Serenic, which marketed nonprofit applications under that brand, has become OneSoft Solutions. The name change was accomplished on July 28 as part of the deal via which the Serenic financial applications were sold to Sylogist Ltd. Both OneSoft and Sylogist are Canadian companies. With the morphing done, Serenic chairman Dwayne Kushniruk has replaced Randy Keith, who was with the old Serenic since 2007, as CEO and president of OneSoft. Keith remains a director for the next year.

Kushniruk was founder of CEO of VisionHRM, the public company that acquired Serenic in 2004 and then adopted that operation’s name. OneSoft continues in the NFP market, owning the underlying cloud technology that enables the Serenic NAV products to be re-configured for Microsoft's Cloud and volume strategies, and three products, Express, Essentials and Donor Vision 2013. OneSoft plans to sell these products into new NFP markets. It also intends to investigate opportunities for relationships with other NAV vendors that serve vertical markets. The company anticipates OneSoft divisions will have minimal staff until its cloud-only revenues build. For the quarter ended May 31, the old Serenic lost $210,037, 33.8 percent lost than the $317,052 in the prior year’s corresponding quarter. However, revenue rose 29.4 percent to $3.4 million in the most recently ended period, from $2.6 million a year ago. (All figures in Canadian dollars). Software licenses were up 43.3 percent with increases both from sales by Serenic and by VARs in the United States, Canada and Africa.
