Van Dooren, who took the new job in June, was previously EVP of sales and marketing for the Bainbridge Island, Wash.-based sales tax application company from October 2011 through May 2014. He was VP of sales for Sage North America from July 2007 through September 2011. A LinkedIn search shows Avalara also hired L. Geoffrey Joynt as SVP of sales in May. Joynt previously served as chief revenue officer of the former Frayman Group from February 2011 through April this year. Frayman, which provided software and services to law firms, was acquired by Intapp in April. It also doesn't look like Avalara announced the hiring of Drew Jennings in channel development. Jennings' LinkedIn page does not give either a month or exact title, but he was VP of business development and product innovation at Fizzle from 2011 through 2014 so maybe he has a decent title at Avalara.

AVALARA SIGNS ACCOUNTMATE Featured
AccountMate has become the latest accounting software vendor to integrate with Avalara's cloud product. The integration means AccountMate customers can use the AvaTax sales tax application from within AccountMate to calculate final sales tax amounts on invoices. The press release about the deal quotes Pascal Van Dooren as chief revenue officer. Although he has been previously quoted while in this position, Avalara did not issue a press release announcing the change.
