PRODWARE EARNINGS SLUMP Featured

ProdwareThe net result for the ProdWare Group, a Dynamics and Sage reseller based in France dropped to about $6 million for 2014, down 32 percent from the 2013 total. The company this month attributed the decrease to its efforts to restructure its German and Benelux operations and align them with the company business model. "The temporary decrease in our net profitability, related to the realignment efforts of our German and Benelux subsidiaries toward our model, is to be viewed in the light of continued growth of our other activities and our strategic activities such as SaaS," the company said in prepared comments.

Revenue was reported in February with the top line off 1.1 percent to about $197.9 million in 2014, company-wide revenue was up 2.1 percent on a like-for-like basis. Prodware's practice is to report earnings after releasing revenue. SaaS revenue was 7.2 percent of the 2014 total, compared to 5 percent the prior year. There was strong sales growth in Spain and the United Kingdom, which the company said have been completely integrated into its development model. Revenue in Spain increased by 18.2 percent and in Britain by 37.1 percent. Sales in Israel were up 24.9 percent, based on new contracts in the retail market.
