SONATA TO ACQUIRE IBIS

Andy Vabulas, I.B.I.S. Sonata Software, an IT company based in Bangalore, India, will purchase I.B.I.S., which has been a top award winner in the Microsoft Dynamics realm. Perhaps we should also pay attention to the international trend—earlier this year, Denmark-based Columbus purchased Interdyn BMI. The press release announcing the deal highlighted the VAR's Advanced Supply Chain Software, based on Dynamics AX and CRM.

Recently, Peachtree Corners, Ga.-based I.B.I.S. sold its Dynamics GP practice to Socius. This broke at the same time that HCL Technologies, like Sonata described as a global IT services company, said it had purchased PowerObjects. The companies said that deal will create one of the largest Dynamics CRM resellers in the world. With its acquisition, Sonata adds a supply chain product to its AX and CRM offerings for retail, consumer packaged goods and distribution companies. Headed by CEO Andy Vabulas, I.B.I.S. was founded in 1989.
