On this continent, Orchestra Software of Beaverton, Ore., received the SAP North America Partner Excellence Award 2016 for SAP Business and the award for Small and Midsize Enterprises went to Itelligence, which also took the Middle and Eastern Europe Partner Excellence Award 2016 for Analytics. But generally speaking the awards suggest what we pretty much know that ByD was a major disappointment and that the effort by SAP to penetrate the mid-market reseller channel, outside of companies that did not historically carry SAP products, went nowhere. If the effort with historical Sage and Dynamics resellers had worked, I believe the kinds of award categories in this country would have been much different. Of course, the other lesson is that for everything SAP failed to accomplish with ByD, it more than made up for in Hana which is shown by the fact there are five Hana award categories in APJ; two in Greater China; two in EMEA and two in North America. The awards suggest where different products have penetrated most successfully. There were no Hana awards in Latin America. There were two SuccessFactors awards in North America and one in APJ, but none elsewhere.
