While Dynamics 365 encompasses a wide range of functions, Numoto described the sales approach as a smorgasbord. "Dynamics 365 apps are designed so they can be easily and independently deployed. That means you can start small and pay only for what you need," he wrote. The available functions lists were financials, field service, sales, operations, marketing, project service automation and customer service. Microsoft has embedded Power BI and Cortana Intelligence. Numoto said the application offers a common data model and extensible business application platform which will enable the easy development of new apps and extension of existing ones. Microsoft is also introducing an online story, AppSource, that it says already has more than 200 business SaaS apps, add-ins and content packs. Microsoft listed thee it said are exclusive apps: AFS"Retail Execution" – An end-to-end solution for CPG organizations; AvePoint "Citizen Services" to enable government organizations to automate incident reporting, response and resolution; and Veripark "Next Best Action" for financial institutions.
