 Jeremy Korst, AvalaraAvalara has hired Jeremy Korst as chief marketing officer. The sales tax software company said his responsibilities include brand, demand generation, channel, international, product, and customer marketing. Korst succeeds the company's first CMO, Michael Turner, who was with Avalara from February 2015 through December 2015.

Before joining Seattle, Wash.-based Avalara, Korst was general manager of Windows marketing at Microsoft, responsible for the worldwide launch of Windows 10. Korst started at Microsoft in April 2013 as general manager, Windows Phone product marketing. He served as GM of Windows marketing from March 2014 through July 2016. He was with Microsoft in an earlier tenure from January 2005 through February 2008. In between, he worked with T-Mobile from February 2008 through March 2013. Turner's LinkedIn page shows he became president of DigitalRoom in December 2015.
