VARS LIGHT ON NEW EXACT PRODUCTS
Exact is planning on recruiting new resellers and driving more of its products through its channel, including Globe, Synergy and JobBoss. But for most of the 30 channel members, the former Macola products are still their primary offerings. Of the two products to cross the Atlantic from Europe, Synergy and Globe, Synergy is offered by many of the dealers.
Synergy was displayed on 14 sites (although all used the old name e-Synergy, which was dropped more than a year ago.) But only four VARs listed on the Exact America partner page show Globe among their offerings. It was as easy to find products from competitors, which underscores the impression I had in compiling the VAR 100 lists for the former Accounting Technology a year ago that Exact VARs seemed to be adding other products because they felt they needed more in the arsenal. The two major beneficiaries have been SAPs' Business One and Intuit's QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. I counted eight of the 30 with QBES and four with B1. There were two whose Web page showed no ERP products.
