SAGE TO BRIDGE PRODUCT GAP Featured

Stephen Kelly, SageSage plans to bridge a noticeable product gap in its product line. CEO Steve Kelly says the company is aware of the gap between Sage Live and X-3 intends to use more than one method to filling it.

The importance of that space in the product line was illustrated this week when Steve Blythe, owner of Blytheco was asked why he was taking on Acumatica. He cited the need for filling out the product line. "I don't have any assurance that it will be filled," Blythe said during the week's Sage Summit conference. Kelly's answer was essentially pronged. "Sage Live is a brilliant product for professional and financial services. While Sage Live will scale up to fit more of the mid-market, he noted, "We will look at acquisitions." It appears to be more a matter of expanding functions through vertical applications that will work with the existing products than of buying another application for the gap.
