INNER CIRCLE 2017: NOT SO BIG? Featured

Brian McGuckin, Crestwood AssociatesSmall might not be beautiful for Microsoft in handing out reseller awards. But the Inner Circle for 2017 seemed less concentrated in the largest VAR world than we have seen in sometime. Not that mom and pops are making the list—Crestwood Associates made the cut for the first time with $13.9 million in revenue and was the smallest.

Crestwood, headed by partners Brian McGuckin and Tim Thompson, carries Dynamics GP, SL and 365, along with Acumatica and Greentree. However, not many dealers that small have been chosen in the last 10 years. Only two accounting firms were selected, fast-growing Armanino and Sikich. Acquisitions have contributed to the growth of Sikich. Over the last two years, Sikich purchased Altico Advisors, BCG Systems and SCS. One Inner Circle member, Tribridge, was recently purchased by another award winner, DXC. Among the others with North American operations are Blue Horseshoe Solutions, Columbus Global, Edgewater FullscopemcaConnect, SBS Group, Socius, Sopris Systems, Sunrise Technologies and ThinkMax. It is increasingly hard to define many organizations resellers as North American, since so many operate internationally, or as resellers as many have active software development operations.
