There is a big market for people who make statues. ... Customs agents in Germany seized a package from Nigeria that contained 20 rotting fish heads. Even though Europe has been shaken by a scare about tainted eggs, the town of Malmedy Belgium continued this week with an annual tradition of making an omelet out of 10,000 eggs. News reports don't say so, but I assume an order was placed for 30,000 pieces of bacon. ... A PBS documentary explored how a researcher was able to prove the artist, Vincent Van Gogh, cut off his whole ear, not just the lobe as many believed. She also discovered a note that suggested the impressionist first considered cutting off his nose, but then realized that was covered by a popular saying.
