SUITECONNECT VISITS ORACLE OPENWORLD Featured

Evan Goldberg, Oracle NetSuiteNetSuite receives a chance to showcase its products and partners at Oracle OpenWorld next month. This is the show-within-a-show concept with top executives from what is now Oracle NetSuite joining the parent on October 3 and 4 in San Francisco. There also seems to have a very recent change in major speakers.

Just to cover bases, I asked if this has the potential to replace SuiteWorld, a spring event, and was told "No" by the public relations department. Oracle CEO Mark Hurd is joined by EVP Jim McGeever, chief technology officer Evan Goldberg, and Jim Maynard SVP of strategy and marketing. Well that was when I went to the conference site a week ago and when I first returned to look at the page last night. At some time, during the process, when I went through what looked like the same page—http://suiteconnect.netsuite.com/speakers—The array of four pictures was gone and when I clicked through McGeever and Maynard's names and pictures had dropped off, leaving Hurd and Goldberg. I must have been imagining things. The official description is SuiteConnect "will bring together 850+ users, prospective customers, Oracle executives, product experts, partners, press and industry influencers". Maybe it had changed at midnight? Oracle OpenWorld itself has an interesting array including basketball great Jerry West, along with former Democratic senator Barbara Boxer and former GOP speaker of the House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich.
