DELTEK EXEC PAY DROPS

Compensation for three top Deltek executives dropped last year as the value of equity awards shrank. CEO Kevin Parker pulled in $1.6 million in compensation for 2009, down 46.1 percent from $2.3 million the prior year.  That was because the value of his equity awards dropped to $588,000 from $1.4 million.
And the same was true for Richard P. Lowrey, EVP of Deltek Engineering, and Carolyn Parent, EVP of worldwide sales, as the slide in equity awards took a bite out of their pay. Lowrey's compensation dropped to $618,000, a drop of 35.1 percent from $952,000 for 2008. Parent saw her 2009 compensation fall 29 percent to $685,000 from $960,000. A small, but interesting part of Parker's compensation was $2,452 treated as income for a tax gross-up related to reimbursement of travel, meal and hotel expenses related to his attendance at Deltek’s President’s Club.
