The new approach to programming will enable users to subscribe to desired functions on a mix-and-match basis. Software users “will have exactly what they want and when they want it, rather than a big product where they only use 20 to 30 percent of capabilities,” Godinho said. Users will be able to add or drop features as their needs change. Godinho, who worked at Microsoft, said the capabilities are what Microsoft Azure “had from the start”. Channel members can advise users on what services they need and also utilize tools to build those services for specific markets.
